Milestones
CalEnergy Generation continues to make significant progress in development of new and existing generation facilities.
- Transfer of ownership of CalEnergy Generation's Malitbog project from Visayas Geothermal Power Company, a Philippine general partnership indirectly wholly owned by MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, to the Philippine government took place July 25, 2007. Visayas Geothermal Power Company owned and operated the project for a period of 10 years.
- Transfer of ownership of CalEnergy Generation's Mahanagdong project from CE Luzon Geothermal Power Company, Inc., a Philippine corporation, to the Philippine government took place July 25, 2007. MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company indirectly owns 100 percent of CE Luzon Geothermal Power Company's common stock. A third-party industrial company owned an approximate 3 percent preferred equity interest in the Mahanagdong project. CE Luzon Geothermal Power Company, Inc. owned and operated the project for 10 years.
- Transfer of ownership of CalEnergy Generation's Upper Mahiao project from CE Cebu Geothermal Power Company, Inc., a Philippine corporation indirectly wholly owned by MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company, to the Philippine government took place June 25, 2006. CE Cebu Geothermal Power Company, Inc. owned and operated the Upper Mahiao project for a period of 10 years and transferred ownership to the Philippine government.
